I finished my second Sketchbook Project from the Brooklyn Library! I even re-bound it this time with some paper and the cover from another moleskine I bought awhile ago. Here’s a couple pages…
Julie Mehretu is one on my list of greatest living artists/painters.
unfortunately the website I got it through has no titles with the images, but it’s a nice set.
it’s weird seeing them so tiny on a screen when in life they are HUGE and engulfing. I recently went to the St. Louis art museum and they had a smaller painting of hers. I was so excited to see it!
oh my. I cannot say how much I am in love with triangles right now. and grids!

I’m still on the fence whether or not I liked it. I go back and forth with loving and hating every day.
I wish I had seen this installation though.
